With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we asked members of our community what they are thankful for. Below is a compilation of our top responses. Thank you so much to everyone who shared their responses with us, be sure to comment below what you are thankful for as we enter this season of gratitude and thanksgiving.

Jaymie said that she is thankful for “being able to REMEMBER, and not falling down drunk in front of my family… my focus on being grateful for everything I have!!!”

Brad told us that he is “thankful for my rock bottom. Without it, I never would have opened up to the possibility of help. It woke me up to the desperation of my condition. Today, I am becoming, because of that rock bottom.”

Anthony is “3 years and 2 months sober lifestyle and ongoing I’m thankful for daily. I’m thankful for my sober lifestyle and for the family I have.”

Samantha is “thankful for so many things… thankful not to be sleeping behind a church or people’s cars… thankful for being sobriety, thankful for mended relationships, for a new relationship with God, thankful for my, home, food to eat, clothes to wear.. family, church…etc.”

Brian is thankful for his “treatment, health, honesty, open-mindedness, and the will to change my life.”

I am thankful for our staff and blogger/ vlogger team. Each day they challenge me to become a better person. I am thankful for our followers and members, hearing your stories is a profound privilege I am able to share with each and every one of you. Without your stories, we wouldn’t be able to be the ray of light we are in the recovery community. I am thankful for my family and my cat, Eve, who nurture me and all of my ambitions. And lastly, I am thankful for my boyfriend who is constantly pushing me to think outside of the box and to accomplish more than I could have ever imagined.

From the Soberocity family to yours, wishing you all a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!
